Stone, Water and Shade: Earthen Elements of Mewar
Words by Devendra Singh

Modern design often prioritizes smooth synthetic surfaces. At ARANYA, we chose to return to tactile earthen materials that age with grace.
Every walkway is paved with hand-chiseled Kota stone, cool under barefoot steps. Walls are finished in natural lime plaster (chunam), mixed with marble dust and organic binders to allow the building to breathe.
"True luxury lies in tactile honesty — materials that age gracefully and speak of their origin."
— ARANYA Editorial Dispatch
Water features are integrated into every corner — not for ostentatious display, but to humidify the dry desert air and provide a soothing acoustic backdrop to daily life.
